ReScape Landscape Highlights
To improve carbon sequestration through vegetative growth, underlying soils were uncompacted, existing soils removed, and organic compost and topsoil was installed.
Three of the five median islands were converted from their potable water source to recycled water from the EBMUD wastewater treatment plant.
All irrigation controllers are weather sensing and self adjusting to environmental conditions.
The installed plant palate provides improved biodiversity and drought tolerance while also reducing energy consumption related to shearing and mechanical maintenance.
